Wonderful stay in restored ranch house on 6000 acres of wilderness. Heard my first coyote late one night. Saw 12 wild turkeys at one time. Great hosts.
I've been doing Competitive Trail Rides with my horses for about 20 years and this is my new favorite place to go! The campground is very nice and perfectly set up for the safety and comfort of the horses and convenience of the campers. The pens are good sized and have nice, dry ground, plus there were even large water tubs available in most of them. The bath house is great! Cleaner than mine and very roomy! The owners/hosts were beyond gracious and accommodating; really lovely folks.
As for the trails: well, they are magnificent! Amazing scenery, fantastic vistas, great climbs and descents that will give your horse (and you) a bit of a workout, if you want them to. If you just want to pleasure ride, just slow down a bit and enjoy this creation of nature.
My only problem at all is that it's about a 9 hr drive from my home. That's a real bummer, but what can you do, LOL!
